10 day green smoothie cleanse!

My beau and I are starting a 10 day green smoothie cleanse today! Going to update my progress on here! I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time!

What I hope to gain from this experience is a more positive mindset, clearer and healthier looking skin, way more energy and to slim down! I’ve read so many success stories and testimonials and I’m so inspired! I want to be around for generations to come and taking care of myself is important! So enjoy! And please send encouragement because we will need it!

If you’re interested in the GSC, there’s a Facebook group called “10 day green smoothie cleanse !” It was created by the wonderful J.J. Smith! I also purchased the book she wrote which is essential to being successful in the cleanse! I hope this helps!

-With love, Bran!

5 Remarkable Date Ideas for Couples in (or Approaching) a Rut

If you are part of a couple, you know how important it is to keep the relationship alive. And the longer you’re in a relationship, the harder you have to work to keep an element of excitement in it. The best way to do that? A great date. Not the, “You wanna go the movies?” date–we’re talking about a unique adventure date you’ll never forget. Here, then, are five exceptional date ideas:

Rent a Convertible and Take a Mini Road Trip

Choose a destination and activity (i.e., eat at a restaurant in a nearby town, go to a remote area and have a picnic) and then rent a convertible for the day. Make sure the destination is far enough away that it gives you a chance to talk. Don’t forget rental car insurance before booking that convertible, it’s cheaper than getting it at the counter. And of course, make sure…

4 New Year’s Resolutions for 20-Something Girls

Love this!

Any day is a great opportunity to make a positive change. But the New Year in particular is the most exciting time to envision a better future. Cozy up with a latte or pour a glass of red wine, hit “play” on your favorite Spotify playlist and spend some quality time declaring your resolutions for the next 12 months. Here are four ideas to inspire New Year’s resolutions for the 20-something girl who wants to make every year of this defining decade count.

Personal Challenge

Make this the year you break free from fear and insecurity. Life’s too short to not take risks, be adventurous or test your limits. Are you watching life pass by in a personal safety zone, surrounded by cushy comforts and mediocrity? It’s terrifying to think about what you want deep down inside, but be too afraid to go after it.

College Couples on Valentine’s Day: Know When to Splurge and When to Cut Back

If you’re a couple in college, Valentine’s Day can be tricky. You want to make it a special day with your loved one, but budget restrictions may prevent you from splurging. You need to carefully think about what is worth the extra money and what to cut back on. Don’t worry, though, you can celebrate on a budget. Here are some ideas to help you and your honey plan your special day:

1. Jewelry vs. a Trip Together

For the man who is contemplating splurging on jewelry, consider an alternative to a present that only she can enjoy. Instead, use that money on an experience, like a road trip or a quick getaway to bed and breakfast. The experience of vacationing together can strengthen your relationship in ways you don’t expect. Check Expedia for travel and hotel deals and apps like Groupon for activities and restaurants. This way you might…

Goals for 2015

So here are some of my goals for this year.
I want to try something different and get into reading.  Theres nothing like a good book!
So…ive decided that every month, ill pick a book to read and i have until the end of the month to finish it! Crazy right? Oh well!
Ive also decided to do some type of community service project once a month that I do on my own and of my choice and at the end of the year, i will put together a scrap book of everything! I decided that even though I may not have much, giving back to my community is one way I can help make someone else’s life a little better.  I feel like we were put in this earth to give and help each other!
Im also currently working on putting together my “30 before 30” list! Its basically a list of things i want to do before i turn 30 (in 6 years). Im super excited and i will share that with you all as soon as its finished!  So please feel free to share what your goals are with me!

Happy New Year! (1 month late)

Happy new year!
Im excited for this year. It has started off wonderful!
So far, i got into my top choice grad school program!! Whoo hoo! Interviews are on the 22nd -24th of this month! God is so good!
Annnnnd ive already had a job interview!
Aside from all that, i have some goals id like to start working on! Ill make another post about them next.
A new year is always a great time for a fresh start. Ive done some careful thinking of things i want to accomplish this year and im determined to get through them.

Im tired of missing out.
Im tired of being on the sideline because of money or other obligations.
I want to live!
Am i living?  Or just existing….
Im sitting here reflecting, and ive missed out on so much with my ftiends and family. Trips out of town, dinners,  outings, birthdays…the list goes on.
I refuse to miss out on anything else!
I dont want my life to be full of working all the time or sitting at home on the cough watching life pass me by. This isnt all there is to life! There’s just so much more out there and im determined to see it. I want to eat good food, see beautiful places, laugh until my stomach hurts with the ones i love most, go to bed late as hell and wake up early the next morning. I want to watch the sunrise from the top of a mountain or on a beach. I want memorable nights with the people that I will never forget. I know what I want and im going to bust my ass to get it! #3amThoughts

Living Life your way..

The only things that really matter in life is God, love (genuine friends and family), and being a good person. That’s it. Its taken me a while to figure this all out. You see…life really is more simple than we think. We complicate and over think almost everything in our lives. And then… before you know it…its over. What are you doing to live your life to the fullest? Forget about money and material things. Do the things that make you happy, things that make your soul sing…no matter what anyone says or thinks about it. I’ve spent so much time policing myself so that I would fit in and be “normal”. But what is normal? I’m not sure if it exist!!! and I really don’t care! I’m gonna do whats normal in MY world and what makes me feel comfortable and happy! Don’t waste your time wishing you could do this or that and just do it!Get on out there people, live life your way……

Class is in session: Enjoy!
